The criteria for selecting award recipients are based on, but not limited to, the graduate student’s work, academic record, dissertation, publications, leadership and extracurricular activities.
Applications for the Musser Foundation’s 2014 “Award of Excellence” will be available after October 1, 2013. Applicants who qualify may obtain the application form via my email at email@example.com. It will be an MS Word file attachment.
The Musser Foundation's primary purpose is to promote the advancement of Turfgrass science by supporting exceptional graduate students studying in the Turfgrass specialties. At our annual Board of Directors meeting in February, I will recommend to the Board that we grant our "Award of Excellence" with a significant amount of cash to a doctoral candidate, provided we have applications from graduate students that meet our criteria. If you are a graduate student with the following qualifications, you may submit an application. The completed application must be returned with a postmark no later than December 9, 2013.
Note: There is no longer a minimum GRE score required to qualify for an application.
The Awards Committee will review the applications and make recommendations to the Board. I will notify all applicants of the results by March 1, 2014.
Please help us update our email addresses for the major professors in turfgrass science departments. Also let us know if your professor is a resent successor. Thank you for your assistance.
